Reddit is a social platform that’s famous because of its freedom of speech. It is used by users who don’t want to face any restrictions while publishing their desired content. And that’s the main reason why Reddit has millions of active users.

Whenever you sign into Reddit, you get a choice of choosing a username. That username should be unique, to avoid any overlapping of existing accounts. So it’s your job to select a username that someone else hasn’t collected yet.

How Can You Change Your Username on Reddit?

Since Reddit only allows you to select a username, only once. But this policy only applies to users who haven’t signed in using their Google account or Apple id. Because whenever you sign in using another email account, Reddit automatically allots you an automated username.

So the only policy you need to be aware of is that if you have chosen a Reddit username by yourself, you can’t change it. But if you have allotted with an automated username, you can change it, as you please.

i. Launch the Reddit app on your mobile.

ii. Tap on your Profile icon.

iii. From the appearing popup, tap on the Change Username button.

iv. Enter the new Reddit username (avoid any mistakes, you won’t be allowed to change it in the future) and tap on the Next button.

v. To confirm your action, tap on the Save Username button.

i. From the main interface of Reddit, click on your Profile icon to reveal the menu.

ii. Select the Profile option from the appearing drop-down menu.

iii. When you are asked to update your username, click on the Change Username button.

iv. Enter the preferred username and click on the Continue button. You can also use a suggested username if you are unable to think of a unique one.
